Mary Askew has worked for 25 years as a journalist in the North of England, most recently as a regional political editor and a correspondent for BBC News.
She has chaired live television debates, edited a travel magazine and presented a political TV programme.
As a journalist she has won many awards including North East Newspaper Journalist of the Year, Health Portfolio of the Year, and Campaigning Reporter of the Year.
Now working in training and publicity, Mary has helped councils, utility companies, large charities, arts organisations and even a best selling author. She has worked to raise their public profiles, and to ensure that media interviews are clear and confident.
